Multiclassing a 1/3 spellcaster with a full spell caster get a little whacky but its quite fun Maybe next time?ĭm me if you have anymore questions. Gotta ask the dm if it stacks with booming blade these days tho. You are a glass cannon, and need to hit/run. I love to grab the mobile feat asap with this build. Hunt for scrolls and get that earlier lvl2 spell progression. With 1 lvl of wizard you have 2nd level spell slots but no 2nd level spells! But since you are a wizard, you can learn spells you have slots for. (Btw going off memory so some things said might be slightly wrong). Super interesting perks with this though. You’ll have to use the multiclass spell slot table. But spell slots are counted by overall level. 3 levels of AT is what I usually begin with. Which do you think is mechanically better? (Ignoring things like which makes most sense from a narrative perspectective)Īnd would you pick up Flames of Phlegethos at level 4? I also seriously considered what to do with level 4 - Flames of Phlegethos would combine nicely with Green Flame blade, but it seems too situational, and an extra 2 Dex feels much more useful. multiclass into Wizard, pick up Bladesong, and continue taking wizard levels as a backstabbing, blade poisoning wizard.multiclass into Wizard for two levels and pick up Bladesong, then switch back to Rogue but unfortunately this will delay his spells a couple of levels.continue what he's doing - Uncanny Dodge is really nice and he'll get level 3 spells sooner.My son has asked for advise on how to optimise his existing level 3 Feral Tiefling Arcane Trickster over the next few levels.
